Craft Wine Review
Colorado Craft wineries create a wide variety of different wines, made from grapes sourced in Colorado and beyond. The term “Craft” is not a reliable indication of the quality or taste of the wine produced in the local wineries. In fact, the craft product can be as good if not better than high priced national wines.
The Local Craft Wine Reviews are a sampling of the area’s best wines. Use these as a guide when you visit your next winery, and try a variety of their spirits to discover your favorites!
In our reviews we rate the following aspects of the wine:
- Type of Wine – Red, White, Rose, Sparking
- Grape – The dominant grape of the wine
- State – Which state the winery is located in
- Dryness Rating – How dry the wine is
- Sweetness Rating – How sweet the wine is
- Appearance Rating – Color and clarity
- Aroma Rating – the smell of the wine in the glass
- Taste Rating – the taste of the wine
- Overall Rating – All aspects considered in a final rating
Ratings are based on taste and presentation using a rating scale of 1 to 10, with 5.0 being the normal, average glass of wine.
